Looking for Joseph James Minett death.
He was in the 1891 census in Cornelia (Street) ? Islington. He was a Commercial Traveller for a family business of his father Alphonus Minett. Alphonus died in 1896? and left everything to Joseph's wife. Not even his brothers got anything that we know of.
After the Census of 1891 Joseph James Minett seems to have disappeared. His daughter Sophia and one of his sons, Alphonso George Edward Minett both state on the their marriage certificates that JJ is dead. But hard as we may, over the last 50 years NO Death has been found for Joseph James Minett. born 1855 Islington.
Can anyone relate to JJ or give any more ideas on where to look to find this elusive butterfly. I have searched the wills, and deaths, and the prisons, and workhouses and none of them have my JJ. There is a Joseph Minett in the Islington Workhouse for 1901 but he is not our chap.
